BREAKING: Woman reportedly shot at Sampson’s Pond

A woman arrived at the Carver Police Department with an apparent gunshot wound to her leg after she reported being shot at Sampson’s Pond on Wednesday night, according to police.

The 28-year-old woman came to the police station wounded shortly after 7:30 p.m., according to the police department. After being treated by first responders, the woman, who used to be a Carver resident, was brought to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Police said her injuries are not life threatening.

As of Wednesday night, no arrests have been made. Investigators believe that this was not a random attack and that there is no current threat to the public. 

Police are currently investigating the reported shooting, according to Carver Police Chief Marc Duphily. 

“We are taking this report very seriously and are devoting all necessary resources to determine exactly what happened,” Duphily said.
