Republishing guidelines

1. Stories must give credit to the Carver Journal

   This includes byline credit to the original author of the story. At the top of the story, there should be a line that reads: “This story was originally published by the Carver Journal.” This should include a hyperlink to our page.

2. Photographs may only be republished if taken by a Carver Journal staff member

   If the source of an image is ever unclear, please contact Editor-in-Chief Nick Mossman at nick@carverjournal.com.

3. Do not significantly alter story content

   If publishing online, you must publish the whole, preferably unaltered story and include a link to the original Carver Journal page. Do not alter the content, quotes or any other aspect of the story beyond minor grammatical and style formatting for your publication. If formatting for print, you may trim, but please contact Editor-in-Chief Nick Mossman at nick@carverjournal.com before doing so.

4. Let us contact you

   To republish our stories, your website must include a way to contact you.

5. Mention us on social media

   If you choose to share a Carver Journal story on social media, please tag the Carver Journal and, if able, the original author of the story, on the platform you choose to share it.

6. Don’t republish from our republished work

   The Carver Journal may republish work from other publications. We do not necessarily have permission to grant secondhand republication to other outlets. The Carver Journal will always display where an article came from, so you can republish from the original source.

7. Third-party graphics and other material are not included unless expressly noted

   Charts, graphics, documents, embeds and other third-party material are not included in this republication permission unless the Carver Journal specifically says otherwise.
